Your question is not clear. Is it "hair donation of or for cancer patient. By receiving hair donation what you can do. After giving chemotherapy all the hair will fall and grow back to the original position in about 6 to 9 months time. Before giving the chemotherapy, please take her or call a wig manufacturer and order for a wig as per the present style of her hair and when the hair start falling the patient can use the wig and difference will not be noticed by others. It will not also cost much when comparing to the treatment expenses.

I did like this for my wife and now the wig is not required as her hair grown to the original level very fast. -

Lock of love (locksoflove.com) requires 10 inches of hair for donations. There is a new site started by Pantene. It is beautifullengths.com. They require 8 inches of hair. Both website will give you the requirements and directions for the donation.

Went through Chemo and radiation for breast and ovarian cancer, before i did i donated my long hair to locksforlove. It was going to fall out anyway so cut it short! You need at least 10" to donate. I didn't have a wig, jazzed my head up with scarfs & hats.

I believe that if you go to the locks of love website you will see that they require a 10 inch donation. It can be dyed, permed, or straightened. One of the nicest things that you could ever do, if you can spare the extra two inches. Enjoy the holidays!
