My ear felt funny all day, and I posted earlier about if people knew what it was, and it's either a sinus infection or an ear infection, and then one of my friends said I should go to the ER before I get brain damage.
I'm really freaked out, lol. I was sitting hear with earmuffs and wet cloths on my ears all day, and then they started ringing a bit! I took the earmuffs off, and now they're not doing anything, but I'm really kinda scared. I asked my rents to take me to the ER but they're like 'hell no!' What should I do!? Please help, I'm really freaked out.

Don't panic. Just see your regular doctor when it's convienent, you'll probably get/want some antibiotics which your doctor can prescribe. Relax you don't have brain damage and you're not going to, your friend might though. Just kidding! Good luck and get well soon!

An ear infection is nothing to run to the ER about. Many docs don't even give antibiotics for ear infections anymore because, as my family doctor says, "It takes 10 days to get rid of an ear infection with antibiotics, or about a week and a half if you don't take them." LOL!!
Take some ibuprofen and put your hairdryer on warm and blow that into your ear. That will make it feel a little better.
You are most assuredly NOT going to get brain damage from an ear infection...
That said, if you do have a sinus infection, you'll be blowing green and yellow crud out of your nose, and your whole face will hurt if you bend over. That usually must be treated with antibiotics. You might be able to get your doctor to call out a prescription for them if you've seen the doctor lately. If you're near a Meijer grocery store, have them call it into there because they have free antibiotics. Or Walmart has many medications for $4 a prescription.

Get some herbal ear drops and use them as directed. Also, put some cotton in your ears to keep the cold air from getting into your ears as well. I have done this many times, and am currently doing it. Also, try taking some sinus medicine, as it will help clear up some of the infection. I have also done this and it helps. I think it is a waste to go to the ER. Make an appointment with your regular doctor and see if they will give you some antibiotic.

I had a similar experience last year and thought I was going deaf. But I didn't and I bet you won't either.
I'd recommend you see a doctor or PA as soon as possible (tell parents your ears really ache and you need an appt). If the doctor can't immediately explain what it is, ask for a referral to an ear, nose and throat specialist. In the meantime, don't mess with your ears too much. If you do anything, take a regular dose of decongestant to see if it clears up.

Hello there. Dont freak out hun. All you need to do is go and see a doctor, they will look in both of your ears. If they think you have an ear infection you will be prescribed antibiotics. There are instances where ear infections can go on to infect the brain, but I wouldnt worry about thet. Just go to your doctor and see some medical advice.

tell them to get you to an E-R or a doctor ear infections can cause deafness take tylenol or advill and also put a piece of cotton in the ear with camphorated oil on it and chew gum for the drainage of the infection drink warm tea to help draw the fluids down to the drainage in the throat but anti-biotics are usual for this like amoxil or augmentin or zithremyacin

See the doctor Mnday or go to a walk in clinic.
Unless ignored for quite a while, an ear infection may be uncomfortable, but is usually not life threatening.

call the doctor on Monday and they will get you in. You will not die before then. Although you should take your temp. and if it gets over 104 then go to the ER as that could be dangerous
