We have been talking about college at school and it's just really worrying me because they say it looks good to colleges when you apply. I'm in 11th so I guess there is still a chance for me to join some clubs and get some extracurriculars. But does it really matter? Will it be harder for me to get into college than someone who has some?

You will have no problem for a state college. You may have a problem for out of state or Ivy League. However, even at the state level, this will SIGNIFICANTLY lower you chance to get grants and scholarships. Try to get some extra curriculars in now...volunteering, sports, and arts look the best.

Good luck!

Most scholarships expect to see additional things. Schools are looking for individuals that add to the depth and diversity of the university, to provide a wide area of education and experiences. People that only study tend to be loners and not add to the overall experiences, or get so involved in all the things they didn't do in H.S. that their grades suffer.
