Toyotas don't die. They get killed by friends that buy them from you. My old 93 p/u had 280k on it when my buddy rolled it and killed it.

I have heard about a pickup that had over 800k (80's model). And Toyota wanted to buy it back but the guy wouldn't sell. He said he wanted to keep the one he had because if he traded it for a new one it would need to be worked on. Wish I had the source. This was several years ago.

My sons 84 KE70 is still going on it's original (untouched) engine (3k 1.3l) after 510,000 kilometres (318,000m). I've replaced the gearbox once and the diff three times. It's been stolen and recovered twice. It has had five teenage owners but refuses to die.

320,000 plus and still going with the original engine and transmission and its in the driveway but it gets alot of miles daily, it is a '02 toyota camry

i had a 4Runner with 360,000+ before i traded it for a honda motorcycle. and a do miss the 4runner. I drove it hard, but did the minimum maintenence and was fine.
