There is a (yes) Christian version of Ubuntu Linux. There are Christian rock concerts, cable channels, travel agencies, gyms (I'm not making this up), banks.
Not to mention the handful of businesses that feel the need to put a Jesus fish on their yellow pages ad.
What's next? Christian toothpaste?
Why do people often pay extra just to have a "Christian" version of the same thing?

The secular world and the Christian world are very different. The secular world is filled with all kinds of things that are disrespectful to God. Christians like the same things as everyone else, but we like to do it a little different. At a secular rock concert, you will see half naked women, pot smoking, fights, and so on. At a Christian concert you will see people just enjoying the music and praising God. The secular world is also always knocking us down. We just want to have fun and enjoy being close to God without people making fun of us. I would go to a Christian business over a Non christian business because I might have a better chance of not being tricked because the business wants to make more money off you. I'm sure not every business is truthful, but God will judge them. All Christians get a bad rap because of a few bad apples, so it is nice to spend time with other Christians who have the same goal in mind, and who will not jump you or sue you if you talk about God.

Christian rock concerts = contemporary music with Christian-based lyrics or band members.
Christian gyms = gyms that play contemprary Christian music during their workout sessions
Christian cable channels = envangelical, fundamentalist programming and/or Christian-based music
Christian travel agencies = probably specialize in trips, tours to Israel, etc.
other reasons? businesses know that people are attracted to "Christian" businesses - businesses that profess to be operated with honesty and trustworthiness ,etc.
also, many Christians believe in supporting their brothers and sisters in faith, that is, buying from them even though they might be a little more expensive.

It's just about the money. Just like in the middle ages when bishops sold absolution. People think they are more holy because they are stupid enough to buy something they are told is christian

They're very intolerant of others and can't stand socializing with people who have altering viewpoints. It means they have to think, and the church discourages that. So they insulate themselves from reality and try to limit contact with outsiders. Unless ,of course, they're on converting missions.

The world has its trashy stuff ,so why can't Christians have a place to go.
We do not pay extra.We like to be around people of the same faith.
Just as every other person does.

maybe its because christain might seem nicer.(depending on your culture)or maybe its because christains really want all peaple to be christains and go to heaven, so there working really hard to try and do that. and maybe their paying extra because
1.their christain
2.they want to know
and #3they want to know what christain means
