of course u can know. ;)
KeyLoggers should run at Startup when the Windows opening.
goto:
"Start" -> "Run" and then type "msconfig" without the double quote of course.
another window will appear with 6 Tabs.. select the last one "Startup".
here u will know what exactly programs installed and loaded when the Windows opening.
like msmsgs = Msn Messenger or
YahooMessenger = Yahoo Messenger.. etc.
every item has three properties.
- the name of application "Startup".
- the location of the application on Your Hard Disk "Command".
- the Path of the Registry Key for each app in the Registry "Location".
what will u do?
just check the names of the applications.. if u find a strange name or it's not a name like "dhshatfhsh.exe" or an application with a name which containts one these words:
"Logger" or "KeyLogger" or "Patch" or "Server".
u can simply look to the Path of the application "Command"
simply uncheck this item, in order not to run again when the Windows startup again.
Simply Press ALT + CTRL + DELETE to view "Task Manager"
and from the Second Tab select the process which belong to that application "should have the same name too".
Right Click -> End Process and Press YES.
now u killed the process and know the location of the keylogger.
goto that location with Shift+Delete.
u get the keylogger.. and removed it by ur self :)
Regards

If you think your boyfriend is using a key logger to get your password to Yahoo Mail so he can check if you're receiving mail from another guy, do the following:
Use another computer to create two e-mail accounts. Use one of the two to send romantic e-mails to the other; use sweet remarks in the title of the e-mails ("Hi Sweetie! I'm missing you!"). Make sure you sign the e-mails with a name of a person your boyfriend is jealous of.
Then use the computer you share with your boyfriend to log in to that account, but don't open the e-mails you sent. When your boyfriend logs in to see the emails, he can't read them without marking them as 'read'.
Then sit back and wait until he takes the bait. Have fun!
(I wrote this on the off chance that you suspect your boyfriend installed a key logger... :-)

By default the Windows Operating System has a Keyloger. Yeah, kinda stoopid, this keylogger can then be accessed and used by others with bad intent. But thats Microsoft Genuine Garuntee that they borrowed the technology from IBM.
