I have this girlfriend that had an encounter with a guy she's known for years. She was in the process of divorcing her husband as well and she reconnected with and old flame who happened to be with someone as well. Well long story short they got into this hot, passionate kissing session but they didn't do anything (according to her anyway) She said that she wanted to and he wanted to as well but when she suggested it and mentioned it to him he declined to proceed further with the foreplay and resorted to kissing and touching instead. Later he told her that he had protection in his wallet but he chose not to do anything with her because he respected and loved her. The kicker is that they dated years ago, he cheated, and now he says he's remorseful. She thinks he's full of it because he is involved in a 'situation' with someone else that he isn't really attracted to. I told her that he could've possibly just meant what he said about respecting her. What do you think? Sound off!

I think the guy does love her, and doesn't want her to look at him as a cheater. If they do get back together at some point, and he did cheat, even though with her, she would never trust him. I think he is trying to ensure they start off on the right foot.
