Perhaps for the same reason some Christians feel compelled to tell nice non-Christians that they will burn in hell. Seems that there is plenty of hate to go around.
At least Christians believe they will be rewarded for being persecuted - so they should not complain overly much.

People who bash or who do as you're doing and continue to address the bashers make up only a very small segment of the population.
Most atheists are OK in what they believe....and think it's more than OK for Christians to believe what they believe.
Outside of YA people are much more mature about our differences.

Which atheist are you speaking about particularly? i don't experience the want to bash each person for his or her beliefs. notwithstanding if human beings proceed to post questions (like this one) which generalise about atheists (or each person else really) then those human beings deserve any "bashing" they get for his or her lack of information and stupidity. you received't locate atheists saying "god is stupid" or "god created an invisible guy" and so on because atheists do no longer count on any god hence how can he/she/or not that's stupid or create something if it does no longer exist. you've faith in some all valuable god be certain - wonderful. yet do not act stupid through posting questions like this or you'd be observed as precisely what you're.

i try to be rather nice in most of my answers unless that person in their question was rude or a blatant bigot. I'm trying to get people to question things and to accept other points of view, i'm leaving the answers up to them but i'm also trying to go about it the right way. But remember we're not a religious order, we don't have membership cards or ruling factions that instruct us what to do or how to do it, every atheist is going to be pretty much unique in their practices and how they treat others.

If anyone is getting bashed it's probably because they keep saying stupid or offensive things. That's the only time I see people get bashed. Regardless of how "nice" you may think they are.

Other than the fact that I'm an atheist, liberal, AND anti-repub/conservatives? I don't know who the second person is, but I hate Adam. That b*tch shouldn't be allowed to use Lain's picture... no close-minded conservative should be allowed to use pictures derived from anime, an art form that utilizes so much creativity, open-mindedness, and imagination, things they obviously lack.

It seems they don't target any one person or belief system, rather they react to the ones who confront them. That's what I've observed, although I'm not here 24/7.

They target nice folks because it gives them pleasure. Rather than examine their own lives they put down folks who try to live a Godly life. It easier to target others who are different than you.

I'm not sure. Perhaps before deciding that they were going to be atheists, they didn't do any research with other religions. Maybe, for all they know, Christianity is the only one out there!

well I'm flattered you think I'm nice, assuming the Adam you regard is me, but regardless, fear not, their strength is minute and very small I tend to ignore the personal attacks, as I have studied they're beliefs as well as mine, I find mine to be much truer.
However I unlike them, try not to be crude, glad someone noticed.
