Yes, and it require we go nuclear. Solar panels are still too expensive. There is not enough rivers we could dam up. And there are way too many whiny people in the world jamming up wind turbines. Evidently "sight" pollution is far worse than nitric acid, sulfuric acid, ozone, particulate and co2 all put together.
You know, all those evil industrialize trying to destroy the environment by putting up windmills. We got to perserve our view of endless deserts. I just can't get enough sand.

I believe yes. Between Wind mills, solar, ocean current generators, and wte(waste to energy plants). I think in time yes. WTE plants are still rare but i have three by me and produce a lot of electricity from burning trash and it gets rid of land fills then they use the ash for fertilizer or road underlayments or bury it. Maybe, but we don't know how yet. We can make very small amounts of energy from water, wind and sun. We can make larger amounts from uranium. But we can make the most, by far, with coal, oil and natural gas. And wealth is DIRECTLY related to the amount of energy used. The US has twice the wealth per person of another country because it uses twice the energy per person. And you can bet your bottom dollar the lots of people are working very hard to come up with new and cheaper energy sources, because energy is money.
