go to a tanning bed...you'll get the light exposure and a little color in a relaxing atmosphere!

If you're referring to SAD lights, simply turning on all the lights in whatever room you're in works.... lots of light in general tricks your brain into thinking it's daytime. You don't need special bulbs.

I live in Alaska, so I KNOW all about long dark winters! My doctor told me about turning on lights when I asked about SAD lights.

theres no such thing as sun deprivation unless your underground for some time. The sun is still shining on you its just not as intense in the winter. what are you worried about getting lighter?

You don't have to get a special lamp for that. Just get a lightbulb for plants. That works just as well. You can find them anywhwere you find regular light bulbs.
