it is something that girls do when they are young, dump, and immature. for whatever reason we go through a stage where we can't seem to find the balls to do things like get a guy and break up with him.

OK..I am female and one time long, long ago, I was a teenager, so I can tell you this (as I also have 2 teenage girls): girls are drama queens! If they were to break up with the boy face to face, it may never happen because they also tend to not know how to say no. It's like when you have to tell someone something...it is easier to write it than to say it in person. Girls are silly creatures and their friends are there to do their dirty work for them. This way, the friend can tell them how the guy reacted and they can end up building it into this huge drama about "he was so upset" (even when a lot of the times he will say "whatever", but to the girl...if he is upset, that makes the girl talk so much more intense. OH MUH GAWD!!!!

Guys do that too, it isn`t only girls. I don`t know why some girls or guys do it, though. I`ve never done it, but I`ve had guys have their friends tell me they wanted to break up with me. I`m pretty sure it has to do with them just being cowards, honestly.

Girls have their friends break up with their boyfriends because they are too afraid to do it themselves. What we are afraid of is how the boy will react to the break up. I mean a girl still wants to be friends with the boy.

It's simple, they just don't have the Gods to walk up to the boy, look in his eyes and tell him so they prefer thier friend to do it. And it might also be because their friends don't have any feelings for the guy but they do so it will br hard for them to say it.
