How do I remove the pcv valve on a '99 Dodge Ram 1500?

I tried pulling (always worked on my Fords), turning and pulling, and just wound up breaking off the hose fitting.

it's just stuck pull on it harder and it will come...

pull the valve out of the rubber grommet on the valve cover, and then pull the other end of the valve off of the rubber hose attached to it.
