My fish told me I was going to get sick. Then I did get sick...am I nuts?

Through research, I found that you aren't nuts.
I didn't know what to tell you, so I asked Pete, the woodchuck who lives in the sewer in the alley behind my neighbor's back yard. He knows lots of fish and a couple of alligators, so I figured he'd know what to tell you. So I went to the alley, propped up the manhole cover and summoned him. He wasn't busy, so he talked to me.
Pete said that Tralfamador, a 2-headed catfish who eats soap and enjoys Kurt Vonnegut novels, once correctly diagnosed a bone spur in his left front paw. He also said that Pinky, a googly-eyed goldfish, once predicted a squirrel pox outbreak. Pete got vaccinated, and he was fine, but a couple of his squirrel friends, Lenny and LaFontaine, didn't heed the warning and were sick for weeks.
So Pete regularly uses fish to predict his medical conditions. But he warned not to trust the word of snakes, frogs or salamanders, unless they're predicting the weather. And he doesn't know how well alligators predict things. He fears they will eat him, so he talks to them only for a short while and from a distance.
I wanted to ask more, but the stink from the sewer was getting to me. So I wouldn't offend Pete, I told him a polite lie -- that I had a pot of oatmeal on the stove that I had to get back to.
I trust Pete. He's an honest, hard-working, alligator-fearing woodchuck who has good family values. Don't let the fact that he lives in a sewer make you doubt him.

In what way does your fish talk to you? If you are actually hearing a voice from your fish and hearing it on a consistant basis, I would share this information with your family doctor.
