It really depends on your wedding dress I think. If your dress is much more simple than the bridesmaid dress is, then you'll never shine. Keep the bridesmaid dresses simple and softer colors unless you're going for a themed wedding. I like the top of the dress down to the bow but with a simple a-line to the hem instead.

If you truly like the bottom half, look for one like on page 2, the bottom right, style #482 in Victorian Coral
http://www.morilee.com/DressDetail.aspx?C=3&D=482&P=1
Minus the sash, or the sash in a similiar color to the gown.

(Also with a softer color your gown is more likely to stand out.)

If you like the top 1/2 then look for something like #443 on page 9, the upper right corner:

Or if your gown is very ornate, then look at some of the bridesmaid gowns on page 13 in the raspberry shade. The top 1/2 of that page and the gown on the bottom right are ideal bridesmaid dresses that will keep the bride in focus and won't embarass your bridesmaids because they're classic and can be worn on numerous occasions (which can make your bridesmaids happy).

Remember that this is your wedding and your time to shine. By giving the bridesmaids dresses that are more or just as decorative as yours, you lose the spotlight to them. So look for pieces that are very simple and classic looking and don't detract from you. Make sure to keep a picture of your dress and the color scheme with you while looking at the bridesmaids gowns so that you can compare and see how well they all will look together.

I actually like two of the other styles b/c they are more classic looks. 474/475. I think 472 is too much for a bridesmaid. It should be more simple. After all the bride should be the center of attention. But I do love the shade. Best of luck

The dress is beautiful!!!! But getting it in the lipstick color, hmm............ Well, that color is way to loud, you want the attention on you for day, you should be the only one standing out. If you put your bridesmaids in those gowns, people would be distracted by the color. If you decide to change the color of your gown, look for something similar to your wedding colors, ask yourself " Will all the attention be on me or on my bridesmaids?". Keep your bridesmaids in mind, think of their complexions, and work around it, the last thing you would want is someone not looking right in their dress, and ruining your pictures. Last but not least, Congratulations and enjoy!!!

the dresses are really pretty but i think i would need to see your dress to let you know if they are right for your wedding. The dresses are a bit much, and they might take away from your dress because there is so much going on with them. You dont want anything taking attention away from you, especially the bridesmaids dresses.

It's a beautiful dress! Not busy at all!

I'd only let my bride's maids wear it if they were pencil thin with hardly no butt!. It looks a little too wide for the model. If it could be tapered some it would look better.

Whatever you decide, get your maids' input, but remember that it's YOUR special day! Do what will make YOU the happiest (including disregarding my opinion above). If you love the dress, go for it!

hi there

i am not sure how your wedding dress look but i thought the bridesmaid dress that you have chosen is kind of stuff...something light will be more fun and depending on your colour scheme you can have the dresses in different colours. i think this bridesmaid dress is more chic

pink, platinum and blush seemed to make a great combination.
I think the focus that day is YOU. just my thought

I think if you like it, and...most importantly...if your bridesmaids like it, then go with it. I do agree that it's alot of look for a bridesmaid, but you're the one that has to live with it, as do they. They might love the dress, but the color may throw them off a bit, maybe go with a more muted color, even the platinum, or even black would look very elegant.

okay i think that a dress like that for your bridesmaids will definatly take away from you.... its your day you should be the center of attention but your trying to over do your bridesmaids which is gunna give them all the attention... but if you dont mind that than yes it is absolutly beautiful. i would say its more suitable for a maid of honor though. but please remember it is your wedding day dont let us ppl that you dont know plan things for you. You and your husband and wedding party should be doing this. Congrats to you both and my best wishes go out to you.
hope my advice helped!

I like it. But you should get the input from the bridesmaids themselves. For my brothers wedding, all five of us bridesmaids and the bride got their say in the dresses. We didn't pick something unless we all agreed on it.

And make sure the color matches the colors in your wedding.
