if someone is baptized in a church, and see later that he is not comfortable in that church, isn't that person still free to look for his spiritual truth by choosing another to go, where he feels more comfortable with the teaching ..should someone stay in a church if he is not comfortable with the major aspect of the teaching ..?

Yes I've done it many times where there is a practice or belief that the bible condemns. The bible says to get out of her my people if you do not want to share with her and her sins and that is Babylon the great the world empire of false religion. You can read it in Revelation. Yes always move on where their is a turning away from the bible doctrine.

In America, you are free to go to any church/religion that you want to. Religions may have their own instruction requirements
before you are fully admitted, other than that, it is strictly your choice.

You wrote, Baptized, so I'm thinking that basically, you are of the Christian faith! Too, you wrote of being comfortable in church.

All of this raised the question, as to, why do or should Christians go to church? Looking for spiritual truth?

All the times that the bible tells us that Jesus prayed, was He praying or looking for spiritual truth? Consider all of the different places that Christ prayed!

Seems to me, HIS prayers were always to give thanks to the Father, strength to complete His mission on earth and to pray for those around Him!

I would like to believe that those are the same reason that Christa ins go to church today. Not to look for something or feel something, but to give Thanks for all that we are blessed, and to pray for all souls on this earth.

The one other, MAIN reason, is to receive Holy Communion as Christ command the faithful to do!

yes because baptist like pentecostal is just a title a direction. for instance my family is mostly pentecostal believers, but we are also Messianic. i left one denomination because they didn't believe in speaking in tongues, i left Mormon because when asking about why they didn't focus as much on the bible as they do their book of Mormon i wasn't getting strait answers. catholic i just felt uncomfortable. Nazarene is just like baptist. now you may ask yourself what is messianic. its a Jewish person who believes Jesus is the messiah, where full Jewish people just think feel Jesus was only a profit. my husband is also a theologian, one who studies religion as a whole. not just denominational, but the breaking down of the bible and the facts in which to understand the bible for yourself and not what others push on you. the biggest thing is if what you read and understand for yourself is not what you hear is being taught than leaving is OK. but don't just focus on denomination , but what you feel inside yourself. find others like yourself and see which direction it is.its what god and Jesus places in your heart not that teachers don't have the answer. its the matter of how their answer clicks for yourself. if you need a new study tool check out www.e-sword.net its a on line downloadable bible with allot of reference materials and its free. even works on a hand held computer.

You can choose to leave a church whever you want -- why stay there if you are not comfortable? Churches welcome new members, so I'd look around if you aren't satisifed with where you are for whatever reason.

I've heard there are denominations that say you can't leave, but that's nonsense. God gave us free will for a reason. If you don't believe what your chruch is telling you, go find another one.

You should definitely leave if anyone in that church is telling you that you have to stay.

it would be hypocrisy to stay if you don't believe. feel free to search your heart and soul to find the religion you need.
