You probably can't. Papers have to come from the breeder, since the puppies should be registered at birth. It's gotta have parents' information and everything. I doubt you have that?

Try this link, it has a first-timers guide that's pretty informative.

From AKC website:
I. IMPORTED DOGS
A. Eligibility
Dogs imported into the U.S. may be eligible for registration in the AKC Stud Book, provided:
1. The imported dog is of a breed eligible for individual registration in the AKC Stud Book.
2. The dog is physically in the United States even if the owner is a foreign resident.
3. The imported dog was registered in country of birth with a Foreign Registry Organization listed in Section IV of this pamphlet.
4. The AKC application form is accompanied by the complete official three-generation Pedigree and a legible photocopy of the certification from the Foreign Registry Organization. The dog must have an unrestricted registration.
5. The AKC application and the foreign registration must reflect identical ownership.
6. The dog has been positively and permanently identified (microchip or tattoo) prior to being registered.

As long as the dog was properly registered in Mexico, there should not be a problem. Call the AKC.

Go to the link you were given about foreign registry with the AKC, you need to make sure you have all the paperwork needed in order to transfer the registry to them or they will not do it. I think the cost is still $50 to transfer a foreign dog with the AKC, they will not refund your money if they do not register the dog. We ran into problems with the AKC years ago trying to get a dog from the Slovak Republic transfered (SKJ), we had all the import papers sent to them and they still did not register this K9 for us.

You will need to look on the AKC website or call them.

I have registered pups from Canada with AKC, don't see why it would be any different if they are from Mexico, as long as they are registered with the Mexican KC.

The sire and dam of the dog you are trying to register must be AKC registered.
