I think amnesty is a VERY BAD idea! I have stated so in several other sites on the web, and I think when they retire they should not be given ANY privaleges! I also think that if they can buy a house here in the USA so easily then US Citizens should also be able to do so... think about it, Aliens have NO credit, so why is it so F* hard for US Citizens who've made some credit mistakes be taken through the ringer on anything? And where do they get these brand new cars??

Social Security is not even given to citizens (or anyone) unless they paid into the system. Millions of postal workers, for example, will NOT get social security. The only way for anyone, (citizen or alien) is to work a job that pays INTO the system. Lots of older (over 65) people do NOT get SS because they never had that type of job.
Anyone who worked and paid into the system is entitled and people should never obstruct someone from getting benefits they have paid for.

Not for work while they were illegally here. The 'suspense fund' was a reason given over and over for not cracking down, and they benefited from it. The benefits paid out to illegals during that time far outweighed money paid in to social security. And working under a fake social security number is a felony at best and identity theft frequently.
Why should that be rewarded?

They will never be given amnesty. But if they were, after half were shot by good Americans, the rest would hopefully leave. The ones that didnt leave should be given nothing.

I don't think they deserve amnesty so if they get it, I don't think they deserve social security benefits.
Heck, why not just give awards and amnesty to all law breakers? Just open the prisons and let them roam the streets.
The world is going nuts. Completely, totally nuts.

I, too, am against illegal immigration. I think that after what happened to immigration policy under the Clinton administration, which made quotas for every known group, and thus is totally unreasonable, we should work to come up with a policy that provides for the needs of our country. Previously we attracted and encouraged the best and brightest, as well as the most hard working people in the world to our country. We should improve our policies so we don't have these problems.
If people have paid in and followed our laws, including immigration, they are deserving of benefits.
