Ha ! I worked the protest. There was 150-200 people there, This thing is losing steam so fast its ridiculous. I think people are starting to see this for what it was. The people in the car caused there own fate. If they would have complied with the officers (and not tried to kill them) they would still be alive.

The New Black Panthers organized this protest march/rally in conjunction with the Crips and Bloods. Having these two gangs included as official partners in the event is the height or hypocrisy and irony. Those two gangs are responsible for thousands (maybe even tens of thousands) of murders in the last twenty years, as well as untold amounts of human suffering caused by their criminal enterprises.
The Bloods also have a direct conflict of interest in protesting at Club Kalua, since the prostitution trade in the club that brought the police there, was reportedly run by the Bloods. This included the pimping of 13 year old children and abducted runaways, if a recently published story in the NY Post is accurate.
The New Black Panthers should also not be confused with the Black Panthers, which has sued over the use of the name. The New Black Panthers is an islamic controlled offshoot of the Nation of Islam, formed by Khallid Abdul Muhammad after he was booted out of NOI by Farrakhan for being too radical.

I went onto the New Black Panthers web site and they basically want reparations, no military service, be tax exempt, be given housing, be exempt from the laws of the evil white man. I have a feeling that they are too lazy to even get a job let alone riot in the streets. Besides, this is not LA... NYC has over 30,000 cops. More than enough to quell a riot.

Pleeease,STOP! I live in Miami where they shot "THE CARJACKER" when he tried to run over the Police.Now I happened to hear his own Mother say he ran with the wrong crowd.You should see how people starting acting at the public forurum, it looked like a circus act with no ringleader,and I might add a black gentleman said so himself when leaving the so called "meeting".

i don't know much about that or New York, but riots are no joke, but i don't think people usually riot unless they are really mad, and they never plan a riot it just breaks out immediately after something happens, like with the Rodney king riots in L.A. some time ago.

First off, those guys are not innocent. They drove their car into the detective and hit the unmarked car twice. It was clear what they were trying to do. 50 rounds is not an excessive amount by any means. Next up, those guys are NOT victims, they are suspects. And when the media finally stops referring to them as victims, we will be headed on the right track towards realizing not all cops are scumbags. And civilians have no place judging Officer shoots, period. Michael Bloomburg should have kept his fat mouth shut.

I haven't heard anything about it and I'm in NYC. I'm guessing that might have something to do with the death of Sean Bell and I already thought there was a peaceful rally.

SOMEBODY HAS TO DO IT. TOO MUCH BRUTALITY FROM THE POLICE. THEY SHUT DOWN NEIGHBORHOODS LIKE IF WERE IN IRAQ. THEY TARGET THE POOR AND THEY ARE RELENTLESS. THE BRUTALITY HAS TO STOP. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THAT THEY OVER STEP THEIR BOUND. 50 SHOTS AT UNARMED PEOPLE IS OUTRAGEOUS. IF A RIOT IS WHAT IS NEEDED THEN SO BE IT. THE MESSAGE HAS TO GET OUT SOMEWAY OR ANOTHER. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH WE PAY THESE IGNORANT FOOLS TO PROTECT US NOT TO GUN US DOWN IN COLD BLOOD. I AM NOT SAYING THAT THIS WAS A RACIAL ATTACK BUT IT WAS OUT AND OUT BRUTALITY. POLICY POLICY CALLS FOR 3 SHOT AND YOU CHECK THE SITUATION UNLESS YOUR LOCKED IN A GUN BATTLE. THEIR WAS NO GUN BATTLE IT WAS A SLAUGHTER. A HUNTER SHOTS ONCE.
