I'm sure there's a moral to this story.

is she a prude? most prudes i know dont have 'alcohol tables' set up at parties. sounds like you did have a few too many, but everyone does that at least once in their life.
I'm 25 years old, and most of my friends are 25+....and i know that if i am at a party with my other 25 year old friends, and a bar is present, that is an open invitation for me and everyone else at the party to drink. One person cannot control the actions of a group of drunk people, not to mention the alcohol intake.
maybe you should have cut yourself off, but maybe she should have had a dry party if she was worried about being embarrassed.

Yes, it was rude, but your friend was not innocent in this, either.
Just because alcohol is at a party does not mean you have to drink to excess -- which you did. However, had she not wanted people to drink to excess, she could have not had freely available alcohol at her party.
Also, had she not wished you to drink to excess, she could have requested you help her hostess the party and not drink. Had she asked you to stay dry (which it sounds like she did not), I believe you would have.
It was a lot of miscommunication which I hope you both can come to an agreement with. If you present it as, "I am sorry I drank and it made you unhappy. I wish you had asked me the day before the party to stay sober with you so I could help you. I didn't realize you needed my help at this party," you might find that the argument gets healed.
If she is still angry, then she's not a good friend. People make mistakes; if one cannot forgive another's mistake, then one is nothing more than an acquaintance.

Well i'm the first to forgive any drunken mishaps by my friends at parties. I know what's it is like to be drunk and make a fool of myself, and know they are probably more embarassed than i am mad.
However, a couple of my friends do this EVERY TIME they drink. losing control once in a while is understandable, but when you have friends you can't even really hang out with because they are always so beligerant it gets annoying.
I say you should apologize, and try to control yourself more. It was a little rude, but certainly forgivable.

I think I would be hurt had you acted like that at my party. If you have a problem with alcohol you should have left the party it is not her fault that you abused the alcohol. You have a mind of your own and maybe she did not know that you have that problem. Maybe she should not have invited you if she was aware that you should not drink .

It wasn't the best thing to do, but alcohol makes some people act funny. Look on the bright side, you didn't hit on one of her friends and crush her heart in a moment of drunken stupidity. She'll be miffed for a little bit, but if she's a true friend, she'll get over it and you guys will be laughing about it in a couple years.

one needs to learn to be polite at parties.
the people that were at the party will not say anything bad about her party
other than you were so drunk that you fell asleep on the couch after you sang a silly song.

Yes, it was rude. You owe her an apology. And a very heartfelt one at that. Next time you're at a party, take it easy. It's much more fun when you can remember things.
