My online boyfriend lives currently in another part of the world. He had been keeping a secret from me and lying about it for quite some time. He pretended his looks were different then what they really were. He was afraid to tell me the truth about this secret. He told his friend he was feeling so guilty about lying to me and was so afraid he would lose me, from this one little lie. His friend thought that it would be a good idea to pretend that my boyfriend had died. His friend called me and told me my boyfriend had past way in an accident. This broke my heart so much. I didn't think I would be able to go on in life without him. This happened one month ago.
Then 3 days ago my boyfriend called me and told me the truth. I don't know what I should be feeling or behaving like. In my heart, I want to forgive him and start over with him again, I really feel his is the love of my life. Or should I dump him and start over with someone else? Am I a fool?

I'm sorry to laugh at your pain but that story is hilarious. Not just the pretend to die part. That's pretty funny. The real humor is how you aren't angry and are actually considering talking to this person again. Any other person in the world would never be able to forgive him for the pain and embaressment.
What he did is a million times worse than cheating.

You do not have any reason to be with someone like him, he has lied to you about his looks and even his own death is this the kind of man you want as your boyfriend? Someone that would lie to you about these sort of things does not love you, and if he can lie about such extreme things then can you ever trust him again. I think you would be a fool and if you continue to stay with someone like him you are going to ruin your whole life . Find some one else a decent person who really loves you please do not waste your time or you life with this man get out while you still have the chance .

Someone who could hurt another person in this way isn't worth crying over. Who does this?
But I need to ask, why are you afraid to commit? Why are you in a long distance relationship with someone whom you are never likely to meet?! This is something that you must ask yourself.
People are always going to tell you what you want to hear - especially if you don't want to hear the truth. Find a real, live, ready to commit person. Stop wasting your time on some loser who likes to play with your emotions.
All you need to do is look around you - he's probably already there.

I would leave him. He was only an online boyfriend, then you probably only had feelings that you wished he would be. Luckily you found out what he is really like. Or did you? He could not really still be telling you the full truth. There is something really wrong when someone actually fakes death. I am glad you found out now. I would count your blessings and find someone in the full flesh and blood who will treat you with respect and honesty and communicate that you can trust. He is out there. Unfortunately you had to learn that not all people are who you want them to be. Maybe your story will help someone else out. Hugs and prayers out your way.

Any person that would fake their own death and lie about the way the look is just setting you up for a horrible realationship. It's hard enough to have a long distance realationship. There are a lot of people in this world. Your feelings for him should fade away with his "fake death" That to me is one of the worst things someone could do to another. Move on

He doesn't sound like a very reliable boyfriend..he is lying to you right and left. Also, it is an interent relationship..how will that work out for the future, especially in another part of the world? Find someone in your area and that you can actually talk to face to face.

First off, how can he be yur boyfriend when you never spend physical time with him? and second..If he has been lying to you all this time, do you really want to consider him your boyfriend? Sweetheart, put down the keyboard and go outside and meet some real people in your area, you will have alot more fun that way...Good luck

ah, he seems a bit crazy. how old are you? If you are pretty young, I wouldn't even be messing with a guy on the internet. you haven't even met him-and don't. for christs sake, don't meet the guy. Why would he tell you he died? he's looney. can you really call him your boyfriend anyways?
look, if you really like him, keep talking to him. but I wouldn't go any further for a very long time.

Always listen to your heart. Don't think too much about it but instead go with your feelings because they never lie to you. Your heart is a good barometer of feelings toward some guy so listen and obey.
