but i mentioned to her that it was animated so it should be free. She got really mad at me about it. I didn't pay for it but why would someone get so upset over a movie?

I've never heard of animated movies being free, but if that's the policy, then she has to follow it. Her attitude was uncalled for and unnecessary. You were just reminding her of policy, like if they forgot the reciept or something.

Some people don't like being wrong. She might have also thought you were rude in the manner you pointed it out - even if you weren't.
