I don't beleive in gender roles. If you like a boy and you want to ask him out, do so! Your gender shouldn't be the deciding factor in whether or not you make your move.
I'm not shy in any way, and all of my boyfriends have been. I dig shy guys. If I didn't have the guts to ask them out, I would have missed out on the love of my life.
Life is about taking chances. You might find out that he doesn't like you the same way you like him, and it will hurt. But you might also find out he does like you, and there's a good chance you'll never find out if you don't ask!
So I say you should take the chance- it might pay off.

I have the wisdom of quite a few years under my belt, and I have few regrets. But, one mistake I know I made was to be afraid to ask someone to join me on a date.
Never make a decision out of fear. This is good advice. If someone is your friend, truly a friend, why in the world would a date ruin the friendship? It is the opportunities you missed because you were afraid of them that will be the ones you regret. You will rarely regret the risk taken.

You don't know if he likes you, the same way (or at all)? There's only one way to find out- so ask himout and ask him when you're out with him, if he does or not. Other questions, too. Just be cause he's shy, (probably has a good reason to be), doesn't mean you have to be shy, too. Don't procrastinate, Missie! If you saw him recently at Safeway and or if he saw you there, recently, that's when you should've asked him out, or at least spoken to him.

ok see what you need to do is start being flirty and try breaking his shyness if that works then your answer to if he likes you will be revealed and if he's still shy then be blunt about it and tell him look i like you and if you like me then we should take it to another level and if you don't then don't worry about it cause things will still be the same. And if he says no then you get hurt then don't show that your sad cause that's what causes him to feel weird around you. Just be cool with him as usual and try to find someone else but I think he'll probably like you.

Just ask him out. I know that will work because I am shy and if a girl asked me out (no matter what I thought of her) I would be flattered. She'll say yes. I just have a feeling.

personally, i think that u should wait..because if he is shy and u ask him out, he might say yes because hes afraid to say no. then u will a relasionship that u dont want.
if he likes u enoughm eventually he will get over his shyness and ask you out, then u will know for sure that he likes you.
just flirt alot and make little hints, he'll pick up on it eventually!

Get one of your joint friends to ask him if he likes you. If the answer is yes then go for it. If it is no then still go for it as the more he finds out about you the more he may like you. Nothing tried nothing gained.

Only guys ask girls out, so don't bother wasting your valuable time on a guy who is not interested in you.
