I know, it makes you angry doesn't it? But, we just need to hang in there and keep the pressure on medical research.

My heart breaks for the families and patients of childhood cancer. We have been dealing with this hell for two years now. My son has one of the 20% cancers that the medical field still struggles with. There are few protocols. As far as I know there is no research going on or planned for his type of sarcoma. We are alone.
There is, however, a small community of patients worldwide and we are all in contact with each other. It is difficult when we lose these young people. A young man with two little boys passed away a few weeks ago, a 9 year old little girl who survived just a year died, and 11 year old boy is struggling . . There are days that the grief is overwhelming. How can you give hope when there seems to be nothing on the horizon to hope for?

Please stay strong and I send out best wishes and peace to you.

Cancer - It is a pity that in-spite of researches worldwide by many many scientist and spending tons of money this disease can not be eradicated and even we have not been successful in inventing a cure. "CANCER IS STILL AN ENIGMA" What to do? Now what is cancer ? Some information -

Cancer is a disease of cells. It is an abnormal growth of cells which tend to proliferate in an uncontrolled way and, in some cases, to metastasize (spread).

Cancer is also called malignancy. A cancerous growth or tumor is sometimes referred to as a malignant growth or tumor. A non-malignant growth or tumor is referred to as benign. Benign tumors are not cancer.

Cancer is not one disease. It is a group of more than 100 different and distinctive diseases. Cancer is NOT contagious.

Cancer can involve any tissue of the body and have many different forms in each body area. Most cancers are named for the type of cell or organ in which they start. If a cancer spreads (metastasizes), the new tumor bears the same name as the original(primary) tumor.

It is hard to believe. My Mom has breast cancer and she's on a treatment that has her taking a pill once a day for 5 years. I don't want to sound cynical, or negative, but I honest don't think we'll see a cure for major illnesses any time soon. Drug companies and researchers make their money off illnesses and finding a cure means they're out of a job. I know that sounds ugly. But it's something I've observed working in the medical field, another thing is that drug companies are always pushing some type of new pill or selling type of sickness.
This is just my opinion though. Thanks.

Yeah, it's mind-boggling.

What blows me away is that in the USA, in 2006, people are dying from mosquito bites! (West Nile Virus)
