some people say its wrong not to like them and they even say cats are a womans pet. but i personally dont like cats. do all girls always have to like cats?

I know several women who abhor cats... I also abhor these women... sorry... I can't help myself. I like cats and it just happens that the people I know who do not like cats happen to be people. I wouldn't spend much time with. But that of course does not mean you are an aweful person if you don't like cats. Maybe you like another type of pet? A dog? A bird?

I Love all animals they are each so cool in theyer own ways if you take the time to learn about them. Lets take cats for example.. They are very different from dogs in the way they think, in the wild cats live a very independant life they don't look to another for leadership or for security unless they are kittens of course. You have probaby heard people say cats are stupid or stubborn but thats not realy true. The reason why cats can have a harder time catching on to or learn what we want from them is because they brain that nature has given them does not desire a leader and wants to mostly live alone they don't need another to guide them. I am not saying cats can't be taught anything but they are much harder to train and they have a very short tention span, but I think cats are still very inteligent animals... Dogs on the other hand have pack and teamwork instincs they want a leader who they can pay attention to and who can guide them, they have a much easyer time focusing on what we teach and want from them cause the brain nature hase given them desires a good leader to follow, Teamwork or to even be leader themselves the feed on acceptance and praise from the oh so wise amd mighty boss. I like dogs best because I like how they want your leadership (if you are a good leader) I feel I have a stronger connection with my dogs. Both cats and dogs love food/water, afection, play and sleep of course (= and I also think they are very = when it comes to who has the bigger brains. Sorry if this is long but I enjoy chatting hehe

I personally didn't like cats until I got one for my kids 6 months ago. I fell in love with her and don't think I could live with out her. My husband absolutely adores her! He too never paid much attention to cats until we got Sofee. So no, cats aren't girls "pets" and guys can love cats too..so don't listen to people when they say that.

Hi there.... usually this is a generalized statement as there are many women who do not like cats such as yourself whereas they may prefer dogs rather than cats. There are men who like cats and not dogs, etc.

no. my aunt told me that she would prefer to see a flattened cat on the road rather than a flattened crow. although she was pregnant at the time. she does hate cats though, i think it's the licking mostly.

of course not, everyone has a right to have your own opinion and mine just happens to be the same as yours that i don't like cats. even my best friend thinks it's wierd that i like to run!

no. my mother thinks cats look like furry rats. she can't stand them. and i also know several other women who don't like cats. besides, they say dogs are "man's best friend" and there are alot of men who don't like cats.
