Ah - you're talking about Durian. It definitely sorts the tourists from the locals! But if you can get past the smell, it really tastes wonderful.

I know dogs that think that **** itself is a treat and love the smell also.

As far as people food stuffed cabbage stinks up the whole house but the cabbage rolls taste great.

Personally, I hate the smell of most veggies when they are cooking, but LOVE the taste!

There is a southern food th's called Chittlings the comes from hog. It's the hog's intestine and they smell like s....... but, they really taste good if you know how to cook them. :)

the other day i was cooking some veggies for a veggie roll, and the others said that the mushrooms smelled really horrible. the taste was great. i was cooking/warming up these processed, yellow looking mushrooms.
