Im wondering is you can adopt a child at the age of 18? When im 18 i want to go to Africa and places where kids are starving and adopt a child but i need to know how old you have to be.. any ideas?

Over seas adoptions usually require you to be atleast 25.
Domestic adoptions in the states generally require age 21, unless that child is a blood relation, in some cases 18 will be considered.
Africa tends to be an easier place to adopt from, I believe single parents of atleast 25 can adopt from most african countries.

No I believe you have to be 20 something. I cant remember exactly which , but I did do a lot of research a year ago on adoption and you defintiley have to be over 18.

You need to be able to take care of the child financially. If you want to adopt you need to have a place to live and an income.

probably is 24 ,or you have to be married ,or show that you can afford one.
