Are you talking about hazing? I don't know of any of those, but my brother was in the Navy and during basic training they had to stay in a small bathhouse type room while several containers of tear gas were discharged. They are supposed to just sit and take it as long as possible, and the last one to leave gets free drinks that Saturday night. I know, kinda lame, but hey, it's a story.

One of our Drill Sargent's made someone wear the toilet bowl seat around her neck.
Another guy had to carry a tampon on him at all times from about day 10 of basic training to graduation day.
There are so many more stories. Good times.

My first day in basic was the worst day of my life. I am 6'8" so I really stood out. I was walking to go to chow when one of the drill instructors that was walking the opposite way grabbed me by the neck and held me against the wall. He yelled "Your a big mother*ucker and I can toss you around like a doll. What do all you little fu*kers think I can do to you if I can manhandle this big guy?" Needless to say I was frightened, but I soon got over it. I still write SSG Jacobson every so often.

I hated night time in basic, take 40 girls and stick them in one room for a long period of time... see how well they all get along!
The gas chamber was a pretty crazy experiance, but I am proud to say that I did not toss my cookies that day!!

well..the craziest thing i heard about army basic training..was that they confiscated everything that looked or was a personal weapon..knives, finger nail clippers, etc. then four days later, they issued this man a rifle and a bayonet...
anything crazier than that i don't know about.

A guy from a sister platoon drank a whole bottle of "Wisk" detergent in order to get discharged. I remember seeing him and his eyes were all buggy and bloodshot. I guess he hadn't realized that it was "voluntary" to enlist...
