I just always wondered how people did that?

actually, we celebrate Christmas the day before or after, depending on plans; the family birthday is more significant to us

My grandpa was born on Christmas, and we just celebrate his birthday right along with Christmas; everyone usually gets him an extra present or something.

it bothers most people very much that their family and friends tend to give them a gift or card with the connotation that it's for both. my brother, wife, and cousin have the honor of this, and i grew up knowing not to do it...but everybody doesn't know it. if you're talking about yourself, calmly and nicely tell whoever that it is an insensitive practice...but don't expect the greatest reception. happy birthday and merry Xmas!

I'm sorry, but I see absolutley no reason why anybody should have to move his/her birthday celebration just because it's on Dec 25th.
