One thing to get used to using are oven bags. These are special plastic bags that you put meat in for roasting in the oven. It seals in the steam so the meat comes out tender and juicy. But that's not all it does. It also forces the meat flavor plus any spices into anything else put into the bag with the meat. What I am getting at here are side dishes of vegetables. Root vegetables (yams, potatoes, carrots, parsnips etc.) work best but any vegetable can be cooked this way. Cut up the vegetables and put them in the bag. Lay the meat on top (chuck roasts work very well with this...so does chicken...just put the veggies inside the chicken). Put any spices you want in there....fresh dill is nice. So is crushed garlic. Or just about anything else you can think of. Cook in the oven.

When it's done, open the bag and serve. You don't even have to clean the pan because of the bag (haha...obviously invented by a guy who was single).

One thing I often do is prepare a whole weeks worth of food at once. I'll take 7 bags and cut up the vegetables at the same time and fill them up. I'll put various types of meat in them with different types of spices. Then seal up all the bags and put them like that in the freezer. Basically, I just add a half hour to the cooking time when I pop one in the oven directly from the freezer. Nice.

Another variation of this is they have crockpot liners like this now.. Prepare the food the night before and put it in a crockpot with a liner in it. Put it in the fridge. Before you leave for work the next morning, plug in the crockpot and set it on the slow setting. The food will be done and piping hot by the time you get home. It could probably cook as long as 12 or even 14 hours before it was ruined, so being late is not a big deal. Cleanup is non-existent because of the liner.

Well, we need more info than that, like what kind of food do you like? Are you looking for something to serve company? Otherwise, I'd just tell you to heat up a can of Campbell's soup, stand in front of the stove and eat it out of the pan. (no offense meant - just kidding really)

Season chops with black pepper. Heat oil in nonstick skillet over medium-high heat; add chops and cook 10 minutes or until well browned. Remove chops; set aside.
Add potatoes, onion and oregano; cook 5 minutes or until browned, stirring occasionally. Return chops to skillet; add broth and peppers. Heat to a boil; cover and cook over low heat 5 minutes or until done.
(Can substitute bone-in pork chops for boneless.)

In the superstore, fruits are usually picked out much too soon. Some are rocks, many are wrong. Some of the fruit and vegetables are typical right (zucchini, onions, garlic, lettuce, greens, and a few others) so I'd have to go with vegetables.
