this job S U C K S! i had to do one before and i couldn't get it out so i ended pulling the whole column out and basicly cutting and chieseling it out just to find out the rod that connects the mechanical switch to the electric switch on the outher side was broken to and could not access one so we ended up installing a used column from a wrecking yard. GOOD LUCK!

If I'm right the switch is one piece made together. I use a punch and a hammer to break loose the rivets, it is really screws without a head

You need a shop manual, it is usually necessary to remove the steering wheel. You might find a manual at the library, or purchase one at the auto supply. Make sure it has the info. before you purchase.
