In my opinion NO IT DOES NOT MAKE YOUR BELIEFS LOOK ANY COOLER!

I have re-evaluated all my inquiries. Though my questions come out of curiosity for other people's religions, I must admit that I might come accross as biased toward Christians (I used to be a Christian), thus some people might think I am attacking Christianity (see the last 5 questions I posted). In the spirit of Tolerance, I intend not to POST any questions that could insult others. Hope everyone trys to do the same!

respectfully,
Muslimah!

No. Preaching your religion, whatever it may be makes it even worse. There is an old saying that the premeditated believers of any religion should take to heart.

The best sermon is a good example.

I see a lot of mindless bickering on this site by people who seems pretty brainless, or at the least their brains have been washed and polished by a charlatan of some sort.

We should always respect the faith of others if not their religion, and it is laudable to study what others believe rather than preach what you have been told and not (obviously) given much thought to.

I was lucky to have a Muslim friend that loaned me a copy of the Koran to read, and with whom I had many discussions comparing our faiths, beliefs, and religions in general. It made for a pleasant understanding and we discovered a lot of common ground.

Best of luck.

I agree whole heartedly. It is the one thing that gets under my skin in a way nothing else does. I have stated on my Answers profile that I appreciate ALL faiths and wish to break down the typical stereotypes associated with each one. However another Yahoo member chose to take other bits and pieces of my profile as a means of questioning and disputing my beliefs. Even attempting to debunk my faith. And do you think this person messgaged me privately? Of course not. They felt the need to initiate a public attack on my faith. Why does this seem acceptable to anyone of faith? Isn't it the teachings of all faiths to love, accept and show compassion to all? Why do we not do this?

Not one bit. In fact I am beginning to find it a bit boring. It does get tiring to read a person who is making an honest inquiry be subjected to taunts and tirades.

How old are you that you would ask a serious question about religion and use the term "COOLER", that is very bizarre to me. This makes me assume that a religion that is the "COOLEST" is the best given your statement. With that out of the way, if your questions are sincere, then I applaud your effort for understanding. Most of the religion themed questions/statements are only meant to insight the opposing side into voicing generally uneducated opinions. I will review your questions and see if I can answer them.

when one person posts a question in ignorance or plain rudeness to belittle others beliefs...
it only serves as a means for many many more people to correct them or point out their wrong in doing so
so i say .... let them post their ignorance
people will learn more that way about other religions

No, it doesn't. It makes one look like a jackass. Putting down others religion is almost as bad as judging people, judging people for their beliefs. Here's an excellent website about tolerance towards other people's religion

No it doesn`t, and I have great respect for anyone who has a different faith or no faith at all. Being that we are all from the same race, human. Peace to you.

no. it makes your religion look so much worse if you pick on other people's religion. because it would mean that your religion doesnt mind making fun of others' religions.
