mainly in the Southern Black Baptist Churches - I went to a church and they took up like 4 offerings - I gave away like $50

To pay for maintenance of the building,the pastor's salary,other bills for utilities like water and electricity.In my church,they are are held accountable for what they use the money for.There is a financial report,ledgers kept and other financial records,similar to a business.That's how we know that the pastor isn't misappropriating the funds for other uses.

Well I am not Baptist but,think.
Lights,Water,Gas,Rent ,salaries,
and the hundreds of miscellanies.
When you pay your own bills,you must see how much money it takes to run a home.
Well it take as much if not more to run a Church.

it is a very wealthy organization but that is small potatoes next to these TV Evangelist preachers who make mutilmillions of dollars.
who live like kings in mansions and have fleets of jets and cars and limo's. All tax free.

so the priest can go out and get drunk hehe........nah, upkeep of the church apparently. (candles light the place, so they save a packet on the elecricity bill)
