If you rinsing with Listerine like you should be doing 4-5 times a day... you should not be infected. Go back to the piercer and ask them. If you have not been rinsing like you should then you need to get to a doctor.

There is definately an infection going on, get the person to the doc ASAP, a tongue affects your speech, your taste etc. It's in my opinion stupid to get a tongue pierced. Some women or men do it to give more pleasure to the opposite sex, hell, if you need a pierced tongue with a ball to do that, then they need a lot to learn.

It can only mean one thing, infection. Your mouth is a hot bed of germs.
Get a good peroxide mouth wash and rinse often. Or take a pinch of salt, baking soda and and a few drops of peroxide and coat your tongue with it and after a minute rinse. If it doesn't clear up then see a doctor.

i don't know but you betrter make an appointment to see your GP and get some antibiotics as it could be an infection of somesort.
the sooner you go see your doctor the sooner the problem will be remedied. if this is a relatively new piercing i'd guess the piercing parlour failed with there hygene and you picked up the infection there. but as i said i'm not a medic. so see your doctor.

The area is infected. Any sign of puss is a sign of dead white blood cells that have been fighting against an infection.

Pus is not normal. It means you have an infection. Mouth infections can turn into pretty dangerous issues, so I'd get that checked out by a doctor.
The mouth is full of bacteria. It is one of the easiest piercings to get infected. It's just so hard to keep clean enough to heal withouth getting infected.
