Yup, a shallow teaspoon of baking soda in a large glass of cold water, stir well, drink fast. You'll probably burp some, too. I don't mind the taste at all, but if it's too salty, you've put too much soda in the water. Just dilute.

Suck on peppermint candy. That helps, too.

I've heard that people have had acid stomach relief from drinking a teaspoon of vinegar mixed into a glass of water, but I couldn't get past the smell of it.

Twists. Yup, stand up, put your hands on your hips, and twist slowly. That seems to help "get your stomach going" and might help.

Good luck!

I have the same problem from time to time....It sounds like heartburn to me.Try using some type of heart burn med, go to your local store and go to the pharmacy, there are different kinds so just try them out or ask you doctor for a perscription. My problem is that I love Orange Juice and I can't drink it because it gives me bad heart burn. Try to stay away from coffee as it can upset it as well. Like I said earlier, if you can, go talk to your doctor and he can give you a script and help you out with a new diet. If you are unable to see a doctor just ask a phamasist. One girl said don't take TUMS. Well don't listen to her. Tums are a great product and it is also good for you as well due to what is in it, calcium. Do not try what the first girl said either, vinager will only make it worse. One guy even said fruits. Stay away from some, these contain acids as well.

My favorite one. Pepto-Bismol. (Remember the funny commercial, "upset stomach, sour stomach, heartburn, indigestion."
If you have none at home, try mixing about a tablespoon of baking soda in a glass and mix it thoroughly. Drink it down as fast as you can. This is an old remedy and it works. My grandfather used this, long before Pepto-Bismol was used.

My grandmother use to take a pinch of epson salts in about 1/2 glass of water. Equal to an alka seltzer. Or try drinking milk for the calcium.

Sure, put a teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water and stir and drink. It tastes nasty but works well (hold your nose if you have to). Ginger root is the best for me. Cut a very small piece (size of your pinkie nail) and chew it. Spit out the hard parts, the part you need is inside it. Good luck. If it continues, please see your doctor.

This is not a fast cure, nor is it a treatment. It's a slow cure, but it works. Take a teaspoon of lemon juice every morning until the symptoms disappear. They will if you will persist and be consistent. It will take at least a few months and might even take more than a year, but it will work.

Good luck.
