Not all doctors are great doctors. If you are not comfortable with your diagnosis, definitely go see someone else for a second opinion. There have been a number of severe illnesses that have been misdiagnosed. Ex: A lady was told by her doctor that she had cancer and had less than 3 months left. Second opinion proved the doctor way off - 5 years later, she's still living.

Finding a good doctor can be a tough if not impossible task - one that requires patience. I have "interviewed" several doctors lately and you can find all kinds, each with his/her own "twist" on life, lifestyle, habits, whatever - Keep on 'interviewing' them until you find the right one for you. Good luck. You WILL find one.

yes, when i was having a problem with my thyroid, i actually ended up having Graves Disease, which causes high thyroid,, high blood pressure ,,i was asked by one dr if i had just jogged to the office/was something going on in life to make me nervous,, another if i was upset about something,,,, the final dr ,i walked into the office, he said i know what you have, thyroid problem, but i will test you anyway,,,,,,,,,this all occured within one weeks time! i guess something just gave me determination to keep making drs appointments, and its lucky i did!
