Hi there again...perhaps the cat batted and pushed the mouse under the stove or the mouse ran under there to hide if it was still alive and then died from it's injuries later.

Like the others said, the cat probably played with the mouse, it could have been already dead when you saw it. The cat could have whacked the body under the stove.
Some cats bring their prey home to show it to their owners. My cat did that with a bird.

the mouse got away from the cat and hid under the stove. A mouse once did that at my house and it got electrocuted.

he played with it, or the poor mouse wasn't quite dead and crawled to safety to die. Murderous cat! My cat never usually eats his kill either, except the one time he ate the whole squirrel, but for one leg and his big beautiful tail, poor thing!
