A neighbor of ours use to make these for us kids back in the early to late 70's, I did have her recipe at one time, but someone got sticky fingers & walked off with it & the lady has since passed away.

Chocolate Sour Cream Cookies
INGREDIENTS
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 egg
2 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
1/2 cup sour cream
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Blend sugar and butter or margarine until fluffy. Add egg. Add melted chocolate and sour cream. Blend until creamy.
Sift baking soda into flour. Slowly add flour to cream mixture. Add nuts.
Drop on a greased cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Allow to cool for a couple of minutes before removing from the cookie sheet to a wire rack.

Above is the one without the Chocolate Chips

Sour Cream Chocolate Chip Cookies
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 cups raisins
1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line cookie sheets with aluminum foil or baking parchment.
Steam raisins in a vegetable steamer over shallow water in a saucepan. Boil water for 3 minutes, until raisins are moist. Remove raisins and let dry on cloth.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar and vanilla until smooth. Beat in eggs and sour cream until well blended. Sift together flour and baking soda; stir into the butter mixture. Mix in raisins, nuts and chocolate. Drop dough by tablespoons 2 inches apart on cookie sheets.
Bake 13 to 15 minutes, until lightly colored. Let cool on wire racks.

Chocolate Chip Sour Cream Cookies

Ingredients

1 c margarine
2 c sugar
2 eggs
2 ts vanilla
5 1/3 c flour
2 ts baking powder
1 ts baking soda
1 ts salt
1/2 ts nutmeg
1 c sour cream
1 pk (12 oz) chocolate chips

Instructions

Heat oven to 375 degrees, mix margarine, sugar, egg and vanilla thoroughly. Blend in dry ingredients alternately with sour cream. Add chocolate chops and mix. Drop by spoonfuls on cookie sheet, bake about 8 minutes. Yummy!

SOUR CREAM CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
1 servings
1 cup flour, sifted, and two tablespoons of same
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup softened butter
1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 teaspoons hot water, (very)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup sour cream



Approx. Cook Time: :10 Preheat oven to 375F. Grease baking sheets with vegetable oil. Sift flour, baking soda and salt on waxed paper. Beat butter, sour cream, sugar and egg in large bowl till fluffy, about 3 minutes. Beat in hot water and vanilla. Gradually beat in flour mixture until blended and smooth. Drop dough by well rounded teaspoonfuls on prepared baking sheets.

Bake in 375F oven till golden, about 10 minutes. Cook on sheets on wire rack to cool completely. Makes about 3 dozen cookies
