It just depends on which religion you follow. Obviously the Jews feel they go to heaven. You are right though, according to Christianity, Jews don't go to heaven, neither to pagans Muslims or anyone who doesn't think that Jesus was anything but man.
However I don't think everyone automatically goes to hell, some people who never had a chance to hear about Jesus get to go to Purgatory! Woohoo!

All people are on a path.
We Christians believe that at the end of our path, Jesus Christ will hold open the door to Heaven (figuratively) to allow us into God's presence because He has paid for our sin with his death. He fulfilled His own law, The Ten Commandments. Then even though He was sinless, He paid for ours.
That said, I'm not sure how I feel about Jews getting a "by" at this point on my own path. I want to wait, study, look for insights in God's word, then make a decision about it...knowing I am still guessing.
Personally at this time, I do believe Jews get a complete pardon.
I know there are some other Christians who suspect this, but I know there are a great many who absolutely reject it.
My reasoning is that God made a covenant with Abraham that his offspring would be the children of the Kingdom. Some say that meant Israel. I believe that, but as with so many other Bible stories I believe it has a deeper meaning.
See, if all the Jews had accepted Jesus Christ as their Messiah, as I believe He was, would we Gentiles (or anyone other than a Jew) have had a chance at God's plan of salvation?
I believe the reference about the Jews being God's chosen people have to do with they as a nation being chosen to be the prototype of humanity...with God, rejecting God's instruction, then finally redeemed to Him like an unwilling bride bought out of prostitution by a loving and forgiving husband in some cultures back then.
I told you the path stuff at first so you would be clear that this is where I am on MY own path. I may change my mind some day, maybe others will change theirs. Who knows?
This may explain some differing outlooks on this matter, and there are hundreds more just like it.

The Bible stipulates that a remnant of God's chosen people -the Jews- will be saved because they will accept that Jesus Christ was and is indeed their Messiah. The Israelites of the OT will be saved by their faith in God and His promises of a Messiah who would die for their sins. Muslims completely reject Jesus as the Christ, for the most part, as do Jews. That does not mean they can't be saved. If they believe in Jesus Christ as the Messiah promised by God and accept Him as Lord and Saviour then they will be saved. If not, then they have chosen their eternal destiny

You quoted us wrong. Nobody said believing in Jesus would get you into Heaven. Even Satan can quote the scriptures.
Go back and try again.

I don't know if Jewish or Muslims go to Heaven but as a pagan I'm pretty sure I'm going to be reincarnated after a stint in Summerland.

I don't think it matters what your religion is...as long as you do good in life then you go to heaven. Jesus was Jewish as well so I don't know why Jews would go to hell..
