Just bought a $3400 67 inch 1080p Samsung DLP tv today.. now that i did all the dirty work of removing the old one and getting this one in. I've got a question about resolution in general. If I get the Xbox 360 component cables ( i dont think they do HDMI but correct me if i'm wrong), what's the max resolution it'll show? And is there a way to see what resolution it's displaying? Is it variable or is it 1080p or nothin'?

you will get 720p out of a x-box 360, they do not make hdmi for it , so you are stuck with the componet cables..... your resolution all depends on the signal coming in and the cables you use..... for example you can get 1080i out of a upconvert dvd player using a hdmi cable but if you use componet cables you will get 720p .... but if you use composite you will get 480p out of it..... and your t.v. will show all resolutions but it wont tell you what resolution it it showing....

The last system update upgraded the 360 to output at 1080p. I'm not sure if all games will support it though. I know there are already a few that do.

The 360 will broadcast in HDTV at 1080i. They come with the HDTV cables with the standard system.
