Budgies? You just have to have healthy birds not in contact with sick birds for 3 months. Usually if you keep them in your house in a cage that will be the case. You just have to fill in the proper papers and pay a processing fee.

I suggest you look over the forms at this link.

What do you mean by "buggies"!!? Add an explanation!

Assuming you mean cars, yes you can. When you go to the US, you can usually enter without stopping at the Canadian side, and when coming back into Canada, you usually don't have to stop at the US side. So only one stop per trip. This is a good start with links to various web sites to help out: http://www.gonorthwest.com/Visitor/planning/border/border.htm. Make sure you know the operating times of the crossings you are going to - some are 24hrs. but not all of them.

Be sure to have the proper identification. Some time in January, the US will require passports to enter. They will also want to know the details of your trip.

They will also be interested if you are modifying your car while in the US. You'd have to check the details of this, but they may be able to charge you duty on your vehicle if that's the purpose of being down there.

If the vechicle isn't registered in your name they will likely ask you about that as well. You're going to have to post more details to get a straight answer here! Good luck.
