Taking another man with me to China, NOT my fiance?

Background Info: I'm 22 & studying world history in college. I'm planning on going on a short trip to China next Spring Break, something I've wanted to do for YEARS now. My close friend Daniel is a teacher at a martial arts/kung fu school, and would LOVE the opportunity to go to Hong Kong and visit the Shaolin temple, since he studies under a Grand Master who studied at Shaolin.

I want to take my friend Daniel to China with me. It just makes sense.

My fiance is jealous and says that taking another man to another country with me is crossing the line.

Fiance is an ex-Marine who has been to many difference countries and I haven't, and I'm a world history major. Of course I would take HIM with me to China, but he has no deep interest in it. Daniel on the other hand DOES, it's his dream.I would rather travel to a country with someone that's going to enjoy it as much as I do, not have someone "tagging along", just because. If that's the case, I'd rather just go by myself. What to do? :(

tell your fiancee that daniel is going with you, and if he cant trust you , then you shouldnt be getting married in the first place. tell him, that you trust him, he could of picked up hookers in those countries and other stuff, make him feel guilty, tell him, you completely love him, and daniel has been there for you for ever.....

If you are engaged, you should not be traveling to China for a period of time with another man, even if he is your friend. Your fiancee has a right to object, and I think you are putting your relationship with him in jeopardy if you go with Daniel.

but I can also understand your situation and how you want to go with your friend since you both have similar interests.
