Well sometimes you may fail because the recipe is complicated I failed even in baking pancakes twice!
Here's the recipe
Slice your extra lean ground beef into tiny, round pieces. Pour the Pergo Traditional Sauce into a pan and pour the sliced ground beef.
Boil some water and put the spaghetti pasta on it. Check if it's on the first 2 minutes. Check on it gradually.
Pour the sauce on top of the pour the sprinkle cheese on top of the spaghetti sauce.

With the ingredients you have, just brown the beef with some salt & pepper (if you have it, add Italian seasonings and/or garlic). Boil the water for the pasta while the meat is browning. When the meat is done, add the Prego, a little bit of the cheese and simmer it on low. Add the pasta to the water and stir occasionally until "al dente" (don't wait until it's swollen and mushy). Drain the water and put a tiny bit of olive oil or vegetable oil in it to keep it from sticking. There you go. Not exactly gourmet, but a decent meal.

Brown the beef well. Depending on your pan or pot, you might need to do this in 2 batches . . . browning means getting some carmelized brown color on the meat, not that steamed grey color from over crowding. Extra Lean will not need draining...if you don't have a non stick skillet or pot, you may need to start with a little oil in there (olive oil if you have it). You only mentioned the basic ingredients...it will benefit from some onion and garlic (fresh or powdered) in along with the browning meat.
When everything is browned and onions turn translucent, now is a good time to add dry basil and oregano (if you have it, i use about 2 to1 ratio of basil to oregano, amount to your taste. remember a little goes a long way with dried herbs) and black pepper. stir in a tbl sp of tomato paste, if you have that. Add the Prego sauce, reduce heat to low and simmer 20 minutes, stir occasionally. After that, it's ready to serve with your spaghetti...please follow the directions and do NOT overcook your pasta! And make SURE you salt your pasta water, that's your only chance for seasoning the pasta itself. The sauce has plenty in it already, don't need to add salt to that.

It depends on what you like. But this is my usual...
Ground beer, italian sausage, prego sauce (ricotta/parmesan), noodles.
I brown the ground beef until it's done all the way through. Season it with a little adobo and oregano. Drain the meat. I take the sausage and cook those in a separate pan while browning the ground beef. Then I put the sausage in the pan with the meat, add the sauce and let it simmer for about 40-45 minutes so the sauce can really flavor the meat. I cook the spaghetti noodles and drain them. And I mix everything in one large pot. Make sure to use as much sauce as you need. This is disgusting if it's too dry. Make a nice ceasar salad and some crescent rolls. And you have a nice meal. (if you're grown, some red wine)
I don't eat onions or peppers but my aunt does the same recipe she just chops up some onions and peppers for her sauce.
I hope dinner comes out good

the secret is to brown the meat separated and heat it just 1 minute or 2 with the sauce, just right before to put it on the pasta. if you "cooked" the meat in the sauce, the meat would absorb all the liquid and your sauce would be dry
Oh, I would use nonstick spray on a pan and brown some chopped onions before and then add the ground meat, it is delicious
The worst thing is dry spaghettis. IMO

Brown and drain your meat
Pour in your sauce, season to taste (if you have garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, crushed red pepper flakes. etc..)
Allow to simmer for at least 45 minutes
Cook your noodles according to package directions
I sometimes add some of the "sprinkle cheese" (guessing you are talking about Parmesan?) to the sauce about 10 minutes before I am ready to eat it (about 1/2 cup).
Most of the time I just put the cooked noodles on the plate, top with sauce and then sprinkle on some cheese... Good Luck!
