I need to know what all i need for sugar cookies

Here are a few pillsbury's cookies recipes. Hope these will help:

SUGAR COOKIES/ICING FOR COOKIES

1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla all together. Add egg. Beat until light and fluffy. Stir in milk. Stir in sifted dry ingredients. Blend well. Divide dough in half. Chill 1 hour or more.
Roll dough on floured board to about 1/8 inch thickness. Cut with a floured cookie cutter.

Bake on cookie sheet, in a 375 degree oven, for 8 minutes. Cool. Store in tightly covered container.

Makes 4 dozen cookies. Frost with icing.


ICING FOR COOKIES:

3 c. sifted confectioner's sugar
1/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Dash of salt

Combine sugar, milk, vanilla and salt; mix well. Add food coloring. Frost cookies. Add candy sprinkles if desired. Will frost approximately 5 dozen cookies.

DELUXE SUGAR COOKIES

1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 c. butter, softened
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond extract
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar

Mix powdered sugar, butter, egg, vanilla and almond extract. Stir in flour, baking soda and cream of tartar. Cover and refrigerate at least 3 hours.
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Divide dough into halves. Roll each half 3/16 inch thick on lightly floured cloth-covered board. Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until edges are light brown, 7 to 8 minutes. Frost and decorate as desired. About 5 dozen 2 inch cookies.

OLGA's SUGAR COOKIES:
1/2 cup butter (softened)
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
In a large bowl, cream butter, shortening and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla extract until light and fluffy. Sift dry ingredients together and add to butter mixture until well blended. Chill dough for 1 to 2 hours. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut with cookie cutters. Place on greased baking sheets or parchment paper. Sprinkle with colored sugar or leave plain to frost later. Bake at 350 degrees for 5 to10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on wire racks.

Sugar Cookies

3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg
Optional: icing, colored sugar, or other cookie decorations



Sift together the flour and baking soda; set aside. In a large bowl, beat the butter, sugar and vanilla until creamy. Add the egg and beat until light and fluffy; gradually blend in the flour mixture. Divide the dough in half; wrap in plastic wrap and chill for one hour in the refrigerator. On a floured surface, roll half the dough to 3/16-inch thickness. With a floured cookie cutter, cut out the cookies. Roll out remaining dough, re-rolling scraps as necessary. Place the cookies on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees F for 8 to 10 minutes or until light golden. Remove to wire rack to cool. Decorate with icing and other items as desired

Grandma's Soft Sugar Cookies
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
3 1/2 cups sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. ground nutmeg
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp baking soda
1 cup buttermilk
sugar
raisins
Beat together sugars, buter and shortening until fluffy. Beat in eggs, vanilla and lemon extract.
Sift together flour, baking powder, cream of tartar, nutmeg, salt and baking soda. Add alternately with buttermilk to creamed mixture. Drop by tablespoonfuls 2 1/2 inches apart on greased baiking sheet. Sprinkle with sugar and place a raisin in center of each cookie.
Bake in 400* oven 10 minutes or until done. Remove from baking pan and cool on racks. Makes 48

The above recipes are pretty much it....or you can buy the Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix. It's very good and easy to work with!
