I told my girl that I would drive to her place tonight. It's an hour drive. I just saw her last night and I worked all day. I want to stay home. I need an excuse that won't hurt her feelings or make me seem lazy. I will really use the best answer. So please come up with one, time is short.

I just called and found out she got a baby sitter and is making dinner for me too. I caved in and said "I'll be there" It's not so bad. She loves me.

Explain to her you had a busy hard day! I would understand that. I had a bf who lived an hour away, and i would tell him to not come up (Esp in bad weather!) He would anyway!
Promise you will make it up to her, treat her to a nice dinner or some flowers!
Dude, if you need the rest stay home. I'm sure she would rather have you alive then falling asleep at the wheel!
Plus you saw her yesterday.
But more importantly... tell her the truth! YOU NEED REST!

Tell her you're exhausted, and need to catch up on some rest, but you will make it up to her the next time you see her.

If she gets pissy, then tell her you'd love to see her tonight, but you really need the rest, certainly she wouldn't want to risk you falling asleep at the wheel.

Maybe ask if she'd be willing to come to you and take a nap together so you both could be energized to enjoy your night together?

Don't Lie, for any reason, it's a bad habit and makes for a LOT of explanations and disbelief later.. And THAT hassle you Don't want!

I would just be honest with her, woman do not like men lying to them or making excuses either why they can't do what we ask them. Call your girlfriend and tell her you are tired from working and would love to schedule another day and time for both of you to get together. Most woman can handle the truth when our boyfriend tells us something. If your girlfriend cares about you she will understand and respect you for being honest.

Well from a girls point of view tell her just that. If you tell her some made up reason and she finds out it wasn't the truth she will be madder then if you would have just told her the truth. If she gets too mad she is probably not worth all the effort.

If you are completely honest, why would that hurt her? I think an excuse or stretching the truth is not good for a relationship.

You start this way, and then when will it end?
If she likes/loves you, she will understand.

Just tell her the truth. There is nothing wrong with being tired from working all day and not wanting to get out.

just tell her the truth, that you worked all day and your really tired, and you know that you won't be company tonight and asked her if you can see her tommorow and that you promise and really sorry for seeing her tonight. don't lie eventually it will come out and you will then in trouble. honesty is the best answer you can give.

Tell her you're really wiped and ask if she would be mad if you just stayed home and rested. She might be a little mad but NOTHING compared to how mad she would be if you have an excuse that she even suspects is B.S. Then you'll see that sweet flow of estrogen turn into a tidal wave my friend.

How bout the truth. Tell her you're tired. And let you catch up on some rest so you'll be able to be ready for her the next time you see her.
