1) Jesus was killed by Romans? It was the Jewish priests who wanted Him dead.
John 11:47b-50:
"What are we accomplishing?" they asked. "Here is this man performing many signs. 48 If we let him go on like this, everyone will believe in him, and then the Romans will come and take away both our temple and our nation."

49 Then one of them, named Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, spoke up, "You know nothing at all! 50 You do not realize that it is better for you that one man die for the people than that the whole nation perish."

2) That Jesus could not have defended Himself from the Romans who came to bring Him to trial before Pilate?
Matthew 26:50(b)-54:
Then the men stepped forward, seized Jesus and arrested him. 51With that, one of Jesus' companions reached for his sword, drew it out and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.
52"Put your sword back in its place," Jesus said to him, "for all who draw the sword will die by the sword. 53Do y I cannot

Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels? 54But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen in this way?"

. Jesus could not have been crucified without the approval of the Roman authorities. Those who drove the nails into his hands and feet were Roman soldiers. They did this to try to preserve control in the province, but they did it.
. Soon after the early church was taken over by Constantin, the Church hierarchy felt it necessary to shift the blame from the Roman empire, of which they were now a functional organ, and thus they shifted blame to the Jews, beginning centuries of mistreatment of and discrimination against the Jews.
. The fact is, the Crucifixion of Jesus, is equally the fault of the Romans who allowed it and ordered it (the Roman soldiers who carried it out were not renegades) and the Judean priests who promoted it.

First of all, why do you think we really care about your mythology? Second, we have many record from that time period besides the bible. Third, Jesus was Jewish. Fourth, stop hating people for something that happened 2000 years ago - they weren't there. Don't judge people for something their great^100 grandfather did.

Atheists and Agnostics rely on historical evidence not ancient stories in a book that is historically inaccurate. The Bible has an objective which is make you believe and flow it, not tell you historical facts.

The Sanhendrin had the authority to have Jesus executed, generally by stoning, yet he was killed by crucifixion, a roman penalty. It is clear that he was executed by the Romans..why is one of the great mysteries.

Jesus did what his & our Father commanded. It is better to believe and it not be real than to not believe and it be real. Ask any atheists or agnostics that have been in a life/death situation. The first thing that comes out of their mouth is “Oh God please help me!”

Why do you assume that atheists would take what your bible says to be accurate or literal? Or care?

The point of atheism is that we don't believe in god, or that Jebus (if he ever existed) is a son of a god. Arguing semantics over your bible and all the myths in it is just silly.

The fact that many of his own people wanted him dead is historically accurate, as is the fact that Romans carried out the execution. Lucky for us they did, isn't it? Without their actions, we would have had no fulfillment of prophecy, no crucifixion, no ressurrection and no Christianity. We owe them a great debt.

rofl. You need to reread your bible.

Pilate gave the people a choice. They chose to crucify Jesus. So, yes, it was the Romans that killed him.

Because he was killed by Romans. That's why. Funny how the ROMAN Catholic church wrote history differently, eh?
