This question is something that a lot of people discuss, and question. My opinion is that we are with Christ the day that we die. After all, when Christ was dying on the cross, and the thief on the one side was asking for forgiveness and so, Christ said "I will see you this day in Paradise". To me that is pretty clear. And because of that I do believe that we go straight to heaven, if we have accepted Christ, after we die

When you die you will be buried or cremated... You will lay as Jesus said "asleep" in the grave until the second coming of Jesus, then the dead in Christ shall rise first and meet him in the air... Don't worry, seek out God's word and believe.. Peace be with you all your days..

From what I understand your soul goes to heaven-your body stays on Earth. I'm pretty sure it goes immediately. I am a proud Christian.
