In the year 4.9 billion AD, stepping outside on a summers day and looking up to see the Sun will present both a view and an experience quite unlike that of today. 4.9 billion years from today the Sun has progressed well up its evolutionary path. It has a luminosity of 1.4 times that of the present day Sun; that is, the Sun would be 40% brighter. With a surface temperature of 1000 Kelvin (1340oF) the oceans will have boiled away during a runaway greenhouse effect, creating an Earth not unlike the planet Venus in many ways. In the atmosphere of Earth there will probably be several layers of clouds many miles thick. If the Sun were visible through the constant overcast it would appear larger and brighter.
Mankind, if our species still exists, would probably be sufficiently advanced to compensate for the harsh conditions, but more likely we would have already found other locations to call home. However, even these grim conditions are paradise compared to what is coming. The Earth that gave birth to and nourished homo sapiens will have to be completely abandoned by its greatest progeny.

In God’s presence, on a predestined day, all people, all living beings, the world, the sun, the moon, the stars, in brief, all the material world will disappear. In the Qur'an, this day is called the “Day of Resurrection”. This is “...the Day mankind will stand before the Lord of all the worlds” The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 83, Verse 6. On that day, a person will be too occupied to worry about others. He will even abandon his own mother, father, spouse and children.
The intensity and inconceivable terror of the Day of Resurrection will make everyone concern himself over his own affairs. God describes the Day of Resurrection as follows:
What will convey to you what the Day of Judgement is? Again! What will convey to you what the Day of Judgement is? It is the Day when a soul will have no power to help any other soul in any way. The command that Day will be God’s alone. The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 82, Verses 17-19
When the Deafening Blast comes, that Day a man will flee from his brother and his mother and his father, and his wife and his children: on that Day every man among them will have concerns enough of his own. The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 80, Verses 33-37
And thus the most precious social bonds in this life will come to a bitter end. The terror of that day will render all close relations and kinship meaningless. The only precious thing remaining will be faith:
Then when the Trumpet is blown, that Day there will be no family ties between them; they will not be able to question one another. Those whose scales are heavy are the successful ones. Those whose scales are light are the losers of their souls, remaining in Hell timelessly, for ever. The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 23, Verses 101-103
Bonds and family ties break down in such a way that people would give their so-called beloved sons, spouses, brothers and even all their relatives in ransom for their own salvation:
No good friend will ask about his friend, even though they can see each other. An evil-doer will wish he could ransom himself from the punishment of that Day, by means of his sons, or his wife or his brother or his family who sheltered him or everyone else on earth, if only that meant that he could save himself. But no! It is a Raging Blaze. The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 70, Verses 10-15
This “offer” is actually an indication of the pitiless and ungrateful nature of disbelievers which surface when their benefits are in question. This offer also warns of the vanity of this life. Often a person chases after trivial goals; for an admirable job, a beautiful house, or a woman, and for money he will work for a lifetime. However, as the Qur'an informs us, in his desperate efforts to be saved, a person will be willing to pay, not just a single woman, but all the women in the world or all possible possessions in ransom for his own personal salvation. However, these are all futile efforts. God is essentially the owner of all the possessions in the world. Salvation, on the other hand, remained behind, in the worldly life. It is too late now and, as promised, hellfire has already started burning.

Hi,
I will give you a sensible answer to your question.
Scientists cannot give us any indication because there are only theories at play, but the human population will certainly be over before the earth comes to an end.
Earth has been around for thousands of billions of years and will continue to be unless the sun dies or explodes or the universe collapses but this is unlikely to happen in human life-time. I would say that the human species will be wiped out like the dinasours were either through a comet, chemical warfare, but not through the ending of the world.
I am hopeful that humans will continue to exist for some few billions of years yet, but only if we survive a global catastrophe, but in truth, I would say that humans will be around at least for another few thousand years and don't really beleive in god, so I think we can only have faith in ourselves and hope for human survival for many years to come yet.

I lived on armageddon which is called Har Medigo in Israel. (Har means Mountain in Hebrew). That's where the Christian Bible says armageddon will take place. It's beautiful there, but kinda in the middle of nothing.... I don't see a war happening there, not a war big enough to destroy the whole world.

The earth is not going to end. There will be a lot of changes as far as people, countries, religions, etc...
God will be in Heaven and Jesus will be back on Earth establishing The New Jersusalem after disposing of satan and the morally corrupt that did not choose Jesus for their eternal salvation.
Armageddon will be the end for the non-believers of the world and for countries like Russia, China, Iran, etc...
It's not too late to ask Jesus into your heart. He's waiting on you to ask.

Armegeddon is just the Final Battle for this world in the coming times, between the forces of Light and Darkness.
The Earth itself will end in approx 8,000,000,000 years!
Give or take a few.

Earth will end when God removes us from here. I heard one time that You wouldnt take a bed on a bus. The bus is only transportation. It is not your home. As with the world. The world is our transportation and Heaven is our home.

Only the Maker knows.
I have never met anyone who had the power to see that clearly into the future....if you think that you might know someone that has those sort of incredible capabilities check to see if they've won the lottery a few times.

And guard yourselves against the day when no soul shall serve as a substitute for another soul at all, nor shall intercession be accepted for it, nor shall ransom be taken from it, nor shall they be helped
And He it is who takes your soul by night and knows what you do by day, then He raises you up again therein, that the appointed term may be completed. Then to Him is your return. Then will He inform you of what you used to do
And when Our clear Signs are recited unto them, those who hope not for the meeting with Us say, 'Bring a Qur'an other than this or change it.' Say, 'It is not for me to change it of my own accord. I only follow what is revealed to me. Indeed, I fear, if I disobey my Lord, the punishment of an awful day
