We just moved into a house where they liked pink!! The frames for the doors, the ceiling beams, the baseboards, the shutters (inside) and the doors themselves are pink. How do I remove this to make them the natural wood color again?
Mind you I have NO home improvement knowledge what-so-ever. But, I am a quick learner and have plenty of time to do this.
Thanks so much in advance.....

hardware carries any number of paint removers...some are spray on, wipe off. some are a jelly type put on with a paint brush and wiped off...most are messy, but you say you have time....check with the hardware, they are the experts...good luck

This goes with the answers that you already have... Let me suggest that you NOT remove the paint while you are living in the home during cold weather!! Paint removers STINK and are hazardous to your health. If you are able to leave the home and not run a gas or oil burning furnace on then it should be "OK" to use those. Have a SAFE and HAPPY HOLIDAY!!

Like everyone says paint stripping isn't fun. But the least objectionable brand I've tried is Zip-Strip. It's thick and not drippy. And the quickest. But with all you have to do, it'll take a while. Use gloves and keep a window open.

I'm a mural painter and often I'm called in to repaint a wood grain on door jams, doors, trim. I can take a cheap wood and make it look like mahogany or burl. Great trick. Otherwise you're dealing with terrible chemicals and if you can't hire it out, just be careful.
