IE7 mainly is for improving security for IE users, and it has some user interface improvements, or else just changes, too. It actually is just a "catch up" edition - Firefox and Opera have had all the new IE features for awhile, and more. If I were you, I'd get the new Firefox, learn to use the default features [not that this is anything hard], and then poke around and customize it for your needs, like getting some skins you like, some extensions [functionality features], and so on. It's just better, and if there comes around a website you think doesn't work because of Firefox [really very, very few], Firefox has a right click option to "View this page in IE" and IE comes up.
So forget about IE7, and ease into Firefox.

Go ahead. Jump in!
The major change is tabbed browsing. Before when you had any number of windows open, they would all be seperated in your Start bar. Now you have the option to put your seperate pages in tabs like a file cabinet drawer would look, with the tabs right below your back buttons and such.
As far as problems, I haven't run into any. There may be a few, but everyone I've talked to has liked it.
You also have the option to have multiple home pages load every time you open IE7. Instead of having just Yahoo, for example. You could have Yahoo in one tab, MSN on another tab and DrudgeReoprt one a third tab automatically load.

If you upgrade to IE7, you won't regret it! It makes internet surfing a lot faster and it's 100 times safer than IE6, for example, notifying you if your downloading a virus and not an application. Plus, it looks cool to boot! Get it, you won't regret it! I know I don't. I freak when somebody uninstalls it from the PC! But, also try Firefox, it's cool too.

IE 7 is primarily useful for its security and tabbed browsing features (ala Firefox)...it you want tabbed browsing and don't want to install another browser, IE 7 would be the way to go. Other than that it doesn't really change much.

It'll change the look-and-feel a little, it'll include tabbed browsing (like Mozilla Firefox where you can browse without lots of IE windows open) and it includes an anti-phishing filter.

Tabbed browsing, RSS feeds, anti-phishing. You can check out the video at the link below. You'd be better off getting Firefox 2 everyone says it's better

yeah it will change. I dont really like it, but maybe it will just take some getting used to. You can have mulitple tabs open in one screen so you dont have to keep switching between sites, if that makes any sense. hope this helps!
