What the hell were you doing having sex with a drug addict without thinking that it could result in a pregnancy? It's nice to see you want to do something about it now, but you are just as responsible for this mess as she is.
Also, I find it highly unlikely that you yourself are not a meth addict as well, since non-addicts don't date addicts. You both need to get yourselves some help. Before trying to punish her, drag her and yourself to rehab or NA or something, and try to set a good example for her!

That baby will have medical problems of some degree. The first trimester is the most crucial and she is far past that. If you are going to call SS then you need to leave her as well because when that baby is born they will take it and if you are with her you won't have the baby but if you are gone they might give you total custody. She has to stop no matter what you do, because the hospital will do an infant test when the baby is born to check for drugs and they will find it, I promise you and there goes the baby right into the system.

She is being far to selfish and I expect that she is probably drinking as well since meth is worse, but there is Fetal Alcohol Syndrome right there with mental retardation. You need to be proactive and that baby MUST come first over your girlfriend. If she wants to ruin her life, she's a big girl she can make her own choices then you can't stop her. That baby can't decide for itself and needs you to stand up for it. Be proactive and take action NOW before anything gets worse. I hope and pray for you to have as healthy of a baby as possible, the little angel will be beautiful and wonderful no matter what, but remember, this baby needs and depends on you. Help it.

I could only imagine this being a difficult decision to make. I would have a talk with her and tell her exactly how you feel about her using the drug and the safety of her unborn child. Straight out tell her that if she doesn't stop the drugging, you have to report her regardless of whether you two remain friends. Just let her know that you are willing to put the friendship on the line to save the life of this baby that she decided to bring into the world. Let her know what drugs can do to a baby and that she will be setting herself up for all kinds of problems once the child arrives and gets older (medical problems, possible mental or physical disabilities, learning disabilities, behavior problems etc.). Talk to her and if that doesn't work, Social Services shall see you. Good Luck.

I would probally tell your friend or take your friend to get some help. One of my brothers friends had a addition to meth when she was pregnant and sadly her daughter has a couple birth defects and is very behind for her age she also is very small for her age. Social Services most likely will take custody or have a request that your girlfriends parents take full responsibilty for the child . I would read up on some sites on effects of drugs on babies and copy some really gruesome pictures of what can happen. That might scare her enough to go get some help. okay, you also just asked the question that your GF was smoking a pack a day and now I am starting to think you are just screwing around with everyone. These questions are suppose to be serious, not for people who are bored. I mean really if she is not only smoking a pack a day and now you say shes addicted to meth then you know, I would just simply say you are screwed and that baby doesn't have much hope! That is sick!

speak with an attorney about how you can have her put into rehab..this way, you know the law knows that you've tried to do something about your child. if her rehab don't work out, at least you know when the child is born, he/she will be considered to be placed into your custody rather than be placed into the state's hands at birth...my sister was doing crack all through her pregnancy, her daughter a crack baby...the state was called from the hospital, and they picked up the baby...the baby's dad didn't get the custody because he knew all along she was addicted and did nothing to help out...so i'd advise putting this girl into rehab, it's obvious that you love her and your child...doing this will take a great load off your back...it's for your own blood :).....but handcuffing her is against the law and you'll go to jail for kidnapping and false imprisonment.......i wish you the best, on behalf of your child :)

I think your GF needs some serious help. I am afraid tho if you call social services that the baby will be taken away at birth. Maybe a long heartfelt talk with her will help and maybe rehab? I just don't know what else to suggest. Sorry :(

I think u may want to thinkabou tthe SS thing cause that can cause serious problems in the furture but hancuffing her is no the answer cause if she wants it bad enough the dealer will bring it to the chair where is sitting but the best thing might be rehab for her and a ton of suppory from concern family and friends like ur self

Even though it is going to be hard you need to tell social services and tell them that it is your baby and how you want the baby to be healthy and be sure to tell them that when the baby is born you want custody of him or her because your g/f could get into a lot of trouble for child abuse. But it has to be done. Your childs life is at stake!
